Well, I should have read previous posts, but I'm too lazy. I don't remember what I've previously wrote, so I'm just gonna go with it.
Six months ago, I never would have dreamt that I'd be living in Seattle, WA. Yes. I said Seattle. I was planning on moving to Las Vegas to live with my parents after my break up with Shane. I had to move out and they were the solution. Washington was a thought in my head, but I never really considered moving here. I talked with my sister karen and told her about my plan to move to Vegas until I get on my feet and live on my own. We talked and talked and she asked me if that's what I really wanted.
Later, I thought about what she said and then I decided, what the hell, it can't hurt to try, right? So, I looked at a map of Washington and my first choice was Bellingham, WA. Beautiful place, never been there, but I saw pictures of it and I started job hunting. I posted resumes, emailed resumes, etc. I didn't get any responses back. So, I then tried larger cities like Seattle. Boom, first response was from Princess Cruises.
I was planning on driving up to Washington to check it out and a friend of mine, samma, was supposed to go with me, but backed out at the last minute due to personal reasons. So, while I was staying overnight in Salem, OR, I got a call from a rep from Princess. We set up an interview for the next day and I aced it. Needless to say, I'm in training right now and I'm having fun. I like living here, but I'm rather lonely. I've never lived on my own before. It's nice and strange at the same time. I'm so used to being around my family or my best friend Carla.
I know one person here. Christina. We went to Jr College together in Fort Worth. She's a law student here and has zero time for anything. So, when I'm not at work, I'm just here in my studio apartment. I love my apartment! I live in belltown which one area of downtown Seattle. I walk to work everyday, which is only 5 minutes away. I can see the space needle from work, which is awesome!
My parents helped me move and stayed for a week. My mom and I would walk around to find stuff and just get familiar. Coincidentally, Pike place market is just a five minute walk from my apartment, too! How awesome.
Well, I'll let you know more when there's more to tell. ciao!
